Readers Seminar at St Sava College
On Saturday the 13th of October 2018, a Readers (Ctecevi) Seminar for the Metropolitanate’s Sydney Deanery was held under the guidance and blessing of His Grace Bishop Siluan with the assistance of Protodeacon Petar Mrakic and Deacon Milos Raketic, on the grounds of St Sava’s College.
The Seminar was divided into two parts- theoretical and practical. Deacon Milos, with the blessing of His Grace, presented on the profound role of the Readers within the context of the Orthodox Liturgical tradition. The practicum was lead by His Grace with the assistance of Protodeacon Petar and Deacon Milos, complemented by the experience of our senior Ctecevi: ctec Drazen Kospenda, Sinisa Gavranov and Goran Cibula.
This Seminar is a continuation of the first Seminar held at St Sava monastery New Kalenich in March this year, which was held at the Metropolitanate level. The Seminars are designed to both educate and equip our young Readers, and those who are interested in becoming Readers, in our faith and the order of the Divine services of the Church.
