As part of the coming festivities and commemoration of the 800th anniversary of Autocephaly of the Serbian Orthodox Church and 70 years of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Australia, three special exhibitions will be presented at St Sava College to mark the occasion.

Remembering our predecessors and their selfless sacrifice during the First World War, an exceptional exhibition of Serbian Militaria, Orders, Medals and Badges 1865-1945 will be mounted in the largest room in the building. Specially selected and some rarely seen photographs provide a little context to the tradition of awarding military decorations. In the adjacent gallery, a stunning exhibition of Serbian Gold Work Embroidery, dating back from the late 18th to the middle of the 20th century, showcases some of truly exceptional urban and folk costume, much of it from Kosovo and Metohija. And in the third gallery, there is a specially prepared photographic exhibition of the development of our building project, from the breaking of soil to the present day.

The exhibitions will be opened immediately after Divine Liturgy on the 7th of September, and open to the public for the remainder of the day. All are welcome. Entry is free of charge.
